Yoga Poses at Home

Posted by

September is yoga month, so we are going to share some of our favorite yoga poses that you can do at home. Yoga is the perfect way to start off your day with an energizing routine, or to help wind down at the end of the long day by getting your mind and body at peace. So here they are: our 5 yoga poses to do at home!

  •  Child’s Pose: Even if you haven’t ever done yoga before, you have probably heard of child’s pose. Child’s pose is a great way to start out a yoga routine. It helps you to clear your mind and relax. With child’s pose you are getting your mind and body relaxed and ready for the rest of your routine.

  •  High Lunge: The high lunge is another great pose to start out a routine with. The high lunge will help you stretch out your groin while strengthening your legs.

  • Dolphin Plank: Planking is back! Ok, not really, but the Dolphin Plank is a great pose to add to your routine. Not only does a dolphin plank strengthen your core, arms, and legs, it also helps to relieve stress. Talk about a great four-for-one deal!

  •  Marichi’s Pose: Marichi’s Pose is pretty great all around. It stretches your shoulders and hips at the same time. It also helps to relieve back pain, stimulates your brain, and helps strengthen and stretch your spine. All in all, Marichi’s Pose is great to have in your arsenal.

  •  Gate Pose: Gate pose is all about stretching. It stretches your torso, spine, and hamstrings. Adding the gate pose into your routine will ensure that you stay loose and relaxed throughout the day.

These are just a few of the many yoga poses that you can do at home. Yoga is not only great for your mind and body, but it is also relatively easy to work into your daily routine. All you need is a yoga mat and an open mind.
